What is The Warm Corner?
The Warm Corner is a curated community that hosts events and retreats for anyone who identifies as a woman or resonates with womanhood.
We curate events across India that feel like a breath of fresh air, a warm hug, and a safe sanctuary for the soul. From coffee meet-ups that bloom into new friendships to painting sessions with snuggly puppies, from cosy supper clubs to poetry circles and human libraries, from gentle yoga mornings to board game nights alive with laughter and light — our wide variety of events are designed to help you unwind, create, and connect.
Most of our events last two to three hours. They are completely beginner-friendly and no prior experience is needed unless specified. We usually provide all the materials, optional prompts, and gentle guides you may need, so that you can simply show up and feel at ease.
Beyond our shorter events, we also curate longer retreats and travel getaways in beautiful parts of India and beyond. These immersive experiences are thoughtfully designed to help you detox, explore and find genuine friendships within a community rooted in kindness and care.
You may come by yourself or with loved ones to all our events and retreats — either way, you’ll be met with warmth. We know it can feel absolutely daunting to show up sometimes, but our friendly hosts are always there to greet you and make sure you feel right at home. You can reach out to them anytime during an event or retreat — for a chat, a question, or simply a moment of comfort.
Whether it’s your first time at The Warm Corner or one of many, you will always be welcomed home.

Why did I create The Warm Corner
What if there was a space where women across India could come together to relax, create, explore, or make new friends in a safe, kind, and warm community?
Hi, I’m Tania — and I built The Warm Corner exactly for this. Let me tell you how it all began.
Just a week after turning 23, I packed my whole life into two suitcases and flew from Kolkata to Manchester for my Master’s. It was my first time living alone — away from family dinners, the laughter of childhood friends, and the soft paws of my dogs who had never known a day without me.
I strolled through my new neighborhood, discovered grocery stores, figured out public transport, explored my university, won little gifts at the freshers’ fair, attended classes, experimented with my writing, travelled to new places, spoke to strangers, petted their dogs, cooked comfort meals, and curled up in my cosy bed at night. It was new, exciting, and rewarding — but at times, also overwhelming, lonely, and homesick.
Then one day, a uni friend and I joined a small painting gathering after class — just a few girls, a table full of colours, some crisps and lemonade on the counter. I couldn’t even remember the last time I painted — probably back in primary school — but something about that easy, no-pressure setting made me feel safe to try.
Halfway through, one of the girls looked at the trinket tray I was painting and exclaimed, “That’s such a lovely yak!” I burst out laughing and told her it was actually my pug, Jesse. Soon, everyone wanted to see Jesse’s pictures. We started sharing stories about our pets, our homes, and our lives. What began as a simple art session turned into a moment of connection — effortless, joyful, and warm.
That evening, I walked back to my hostel with a soft, fuzzy glow in my heart. I called up my girl gang from middle school and told them everything. We talked about how often, as women, we feel burnt out — by work, studies, or the endless rush of social media. We crave true rest. We want to return to old passions or discover new hobbies but do not know where to start. Even when we dream of travelling or exploring, we often long to do it alongside kind friends — with safety, freedom, and warmth. I realised how many women, whether in their hometowns or new cities, are searching for the same thing: new friendships, deeper bonds, and genuine community spaces.
That night, I knew what I wanted to build.
The Warm Corner was born from that vision — a space where women can gather through curated events and soulful retreats; where loneliness turns into light, where heartbreaks soften into healing, where hobbies and conversations find a home, where ordinary days in the lives of women feel alive with ease, warmth, and hope.

Relax
"Growing up, I never knew a relaxed woman… Successful women? Yes. Productive women? Plenty. But relaxed women? At-ease women? Women who prioritize rest and pleasure and play? Without guilt? Without apology? I’m not sure I’ve ever met a woman like that. But I would like to become one." — Nicola Jane Hobbs
Reading these words was a turning point for me. I realised how true they felt — not just in my life, but in the lives of almost every woman I know. It became one of the core motivations behind starting The Warm Corner: to create a space where women can truly relax, practise self-care, and find ease.

Explore
From losing track of time at The Notting Hill Bookshop in London to hiking up Arthur’s Seat in Scotland, from feeding stray cats in Turkey to savouring warm momos on the misty roads of Darjeeling, from basking in Italian sunsets to finding calm in the hills of Himachal — every journey has taught me how deeply exploration can heal, rejuvenate, and connect us.
The Warm Corner brings this same spirit of exploration to women’s lives. Our retreats and getaways are thoughtfully designed to weave together rest, adventure, and reflection — thereby creating a safe and soulful community for women to explore.

Create
Can you recall a hobby that once made you feel alive — painting, writing, dancing, games, collecting quirky items — but somehow slipped away as life got busy? So many of us drift away from these little things we love because of studies, work, responsibilities, or social media fatigue.
At The Warm Corner, I want women to slowly return to their hobbies or try new ones — without any pressure for perfection. Our creative gatherings make it easy: we bring prompts, materials, and a warm community to cheer you on.

Connect
The final pillar ‘connect’ is the heart and soul of The Warm Corner. I brought this space to life with a special goal: that here, women can find genuine friendships and meaningful connections that last beyond the events, retreats, and experiences offered by The Warm Corner.
